Star Wars games have had hits and duds and while Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is somewhere in between, it is nonetheless very entertaining to watch. It expands the Star Wars universe, creating unforgettable landscapes, scenes, and canon… and it also has a ton of bugs. Contrast with the beauty of the new planets is hilariously buggy AI, render glitches, and more. The game isn’t perfect, but it’s fun to watch and play, taking elements from popular games like Sonic and Tomb Raider. Your viewers will be transported watching. Give it a try.
Bloodborne
PS4 – Action role-playing
A very highly rated game, Bloodborne is a thorough journey through madness. Its darkness, storytelling, and weird creatures will make for very interesting commentary and its creepiness will make for entertaining visuals. Make sure to also play the DLC.
GTA V
Pretty much every platform, except Nintendo – Third-person shooter, first-person shooter, action-adventure
Grand Theft Auto V has become one of the most popular games to make videos of. You can frequently find GIFs and memes of it on Reddit, and its great DLC, massive sandbox, and huge modding community has led to some very click-worthy thumbnails, very interesting Let’s Play videos, and a maintained level of freshness that most games don’t have.

If we’re being honest, FIFA 20 is very much like the previous games, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not exciting and immersive. As with the previous FIFA games, the online is very fun and will give you a ton of edge-of-your-seat experiences for videos. Can’t neglect to mention that opening packs can also make for some very good times.
TrackMania Turbo
Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Racing
TrackMania Turbo is a super fast-paced, hyper creative driving experience that’s fun to watch, customize, play, and comment on. Use the crazy custom maps to make cool thumbnails that viewers outside your subscriber base want to click on and then get them to subscribe with funny and engaged commentary and action oriented driving.
Garry’s Mod
Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux – Sandbox
With a ton of game modes, a huge Sandbox, an active community, an endless amount of funny things that can happen, and a track record for becoming entertaining YouTube videos, Garry’s Mod is a no-brainer. Make sure to play “Prop Hunt” and “Trouble in Terrorist Town.”

Black Ops 4 reminds us of why we love the Call of Duty franchise. It feels like a modern COD game with none of the gimmicks that made games of the previous two years more disliked. Zombies is great. Multiplayer is awesome. GIFs of this game are frequently seen on page of 1 of Reddit’s Gaming subreddit and the videos are usually very entertaining and fun.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Nintendo Switch – Fighting
Though it was released at the end of 2018, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is far from being old. It’s constantly updated with new fighters, modes, music, levels, and more. It literally has every Super Smash Bros. fighter ever. Unlike previous games, its global online mode is fluid and works well. This game gives you dozens of hours of content, and is great to play and watch. Bonus points to anybody who can beat my Piranha Plant.
Overwatch
Every platform – Multiplayer first-person shooter
From Blizzard Entertainment, a seasoned producer of great multiplayer titles, Overwatch is a consistently popular game. Its huge amount of different characters adds great variation to its objective based multiplayer gameplay, and its futuristic maps, frenetic energy, and WTF moments easily make this perfect to record for YouTube. Add in its last-minute wins and losses, along with teammate commentary from its large and passionate community, and this game becomes even more perfect for this list.
Just Cause 4
Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Action-adventure
If you played Just Cause 3 at all, you know what to expect. Lots of destruction. LOTS OF DESTRUCTION. Very creative vehicles, weapons, and ways to destroy. One of the biggest, prettiest, and diverse open world environments out there. Wing suits and more that let you fly infinitely… the list goes on and on. It’s one of those games that you can play for hours on end, literally doing nothing, and still not get bored of.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

CS:GO is great because of the level of fast-paced thinking it involves, the huge competition that can emerge between players, how tense and down to the wire games get, and the artistry that can happen when you become skilled at the game. This Counter-Strike is more modern, enhanced, and enjoyable than its predecessors and the community is still, in 2020, very active. This shooter has been a YouTube favorite for many years and is totally worth giving a play and record.
Brawlhalla
Every platform – 2D platform fighting
Brawlhalla is like the Super Smash Bros. games, but with dedicated weapons. It’s the type of game that you can have a ton of fun with, even while losing. The online is great (whereas the online in the SSB games isn’t very good) and the characters are customizable. Really, if you like the SSB franchise, you’ll have a lot of fun and great commentary playing this.
Rocket League
Pretty much every platform, except Nintendo – Sports
This game is basically fútbol (or Soccer, if you’re American) played with rocket-powered trucks that fly through the air. It has some very entertaining GIFs on Reddit’s Gaming subreddit, and will leave you shouting at your monitor and entertaining your subscribers. Try the mutators to increase the in-game variety (different gravity, ball sizes, ball speeds, and general physics).
Dark Souls III
Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Action role-playing
Easily one of the best games of all time, Dark Souls 3 will have you screaming in horror, excitement, and laughter. The bosses are huge and wild, the music and scenery is awe-inspiring, and the weapons are eye catching. The game’s great mechanics make this RPG accessible to even noobie gamers and beginner YouTube channels, and the depth of this game’s lore and sheer fun make it perfect for the hardcore. Expect to die a lot and have a great time going down and learning from your mistakes.
Unravel
Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Single-player
Beautiful graphics, relaxed, yet accurate physics, and a whimsical concept make Unravel a delight to play and to watch. Firewatch is said to be, by Markiplier, a YouTube gamer with 24.6mm subscribers, “almost too beautiful.” The game is set in a national park, where your only human communication is with your smart and empathetic boss over a handheld radio. The year is 1989 and your job, as you get lost into a great mystery, is to protect the park from disastrous fires.

Thrilling gameplay, exciting characters, a breathtaking atmosphere (music and scenery), good expansion packs, a solid leveling up and looting system, and a thriving online community make for Destiny being a great Let’s Play game. If you like science-fiction space games, this is one that you’ll have a lot of fun with.
Dead by Daylight
Every platform – Survival horror
Horror games tend to be great for recording because they elicit a lot of super funny commentary from players who are trying to assuage their fears. Wander through abandoned derelict structures and scary forests while trying to escape a deranged killer. Or play as the killer and kill your victims in brutal ways. I want to emphasize this: this game is brutal. Make sure to play with friends as their narration will make it so much better.
Death Stranding
PS4 – Action-adventure
A lot of gamers have been very disappointed by this game, but it’s nonetheless high in the public eye. Made by the creator of the Metal Gear Solid games, Death Stranding is difficult, slow, and tedious. It’s a lot of walking, a lot of falling, and a lot of small unskippable cutscenes. However, its so frustrating that it gets hilarious… and its beautiful. Its scenescapes are futuristic and far out, and its story is imaginative and touching. Reviewers have said this game is inventing a new genre of gaming. Death Stranding is worth checking out.

Every platform – Role-playing
Undertale’s silly puns and puzzles, amazing writing and moving storytelling, humor, and overall charming style are what make this RPG work on YouTube. Though the graphics aren’t the nicest, the game is a ridiculous amount of fun to play and has perfect scores from some of the biggest review sites. What does this mean for you? This means that you’ll have good viewer engagement because if the commentator is having fun, the viewer will too.
No Man’s Sky
Microsoft Windows, XBOX One, PS4 – Adventure, sandbox, survival
Originally a disappointment, No Man’s Sky is now a highly respected game. It’s been updated, fixed, and expanded. It’s great for live streaming and the abundance of unique places to explore also makes it great for novel videos. Similar to Minecraft, the game is a procedurally generated open world, except instead of a world, it’s literally a universe that has over 18 quintillion planets, all of which have their own animals, plants, and environments. Fly around the universe exploring, getting into fights, bartering, obtaining valuable resources, and customizing your ship and character.

Saving the most popular for last. Minecraft helped to define gaming videos on YouTube. It has a rich history of being entertaining to watch and entertaining to play. It’s highly customizable, highly explorable, packed with surprises, faultless for any age, and has a very good online so you can play with friends. It even has VR! It’s pretty much perfect for making gaming videos.

What if you don’t want to play titles that everybody else is playing? Mini games are the perfect solution for giving your channel variety, while keeping it fresh compared to other gaming channels. Agame is a solid place to start because it has a diverse wealth of mini games that are updated frequently. Lots of creativity on this site.
