The 23 Best Games for YouTube in 2020

The top 10 biggest slot wins of February 2020! Including wins by casino streamers and CasinoGrounds community members from the 1st to the 29th of February 20. I am VegasLowRoller and here you will see the NEW slot machines I find at the casinos. Please keep in mind that these videos will stay up in this list indefi.

With a ton of titles and only so much time, it can be hard for a YouTube gamer to figure out what to play.

Maybe you’re looking for games that people want to watch more than others? Maybe you’re looking for upcoming games? Maybe you want mini games for your channel (or a channel that you’re about to create)?

Whatever it is, this list should be able to help you.

A Note About Having Fun

While picking a good game is important, the standard rule of thumb is to pick one that YOU want to play and that you can have fun with. If you’re having fun, it’s easy to do your best commentary and make your best videos. PewDiePie says it best, “Keep having fun with it and don’t try too hard.”

This list has a lot of great titles, old and new. Pick the ones that you think you’ll like most.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

Slots

Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Action-adventure

Star Wars games have had hits and duds and while Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is somewhere in between, it is nonetheless very entertaining to watch. It expands the Star Wars universe, creating unforgettable landscapes, scenes, and canon… and it also has a ton of bugs. Contrast with the beauty of the new planets is hilariously buggy AI, render glitches, and more. The game isn’t perfect, but it’s fun to watch and play, taking elements from popular games like Sonic and Tomb Raider. Your viewers will be transported watching. Give it a try.

Bloodborne

PS4 – Action role-playing

A very highly rated game, Bloodborne is a thorough journey through madness. Its darkness, storytelling, and weird creatures will make for very interesting commentary and its creepiness will make for entertaining visuals. Make sure to also play the DLC.

GTA V

Pretty much every platform, except Nintendo – Third-person shooter, first-person shooter, action-adventure

Grand Theft Auto V has become one of the most popular games to make videos of. You can frequently find GIFs and memes of it on Reddit, and its great DLC, massive sandbox, and huge modding community has led to some very click-worthy thumbnails, very interesting Let’s Play videos, and a maintained level of freshness that most games don’t have.

FIFA 20

2020

Every platform – Sports

If we’re being honest, FIFA 20 is very much like the previous games, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not exciting and immersive. As with the previous FIFA games, the online is very fun and will give you a ton of edge-of-your-seat experiences for videos. Can’t neglect to mention that opening packs can also make for some very good times.

TrackMania Turbo

Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Racing

TrackMania Turbo is a super fast-paced, hyper creative driving experience that’s fun to watch, customize, play, and comment on. Use the crazy custom maps to make cool thumbnails that viewers outside your subscriber base want to click on and then get them to subscribe with funny and engaged commentary and action oriented driving.

Garry’s Mod

Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux – Sandbox

With a ton of game modes, a huge Sandbox, an active community, an endless amount of funny things that can happen, and a track record for becoming entertaining YouTube videos, Garry’s Mod is a no-brainer. Make sure to play “Prop Hunt” and “Trouble in Terrorist Town.”

League of Legends

Microsoft Windows, OS X – Multiplayer online battle arena

January

League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world. Its stadium sized tournaments get huge amounts of very passionate fans and it always seems to have a ton of players online at once. The fun will come from the intense games you get into, great escapes, outplays, and general interactions you have with other players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Pretty much every platform, except Nintendo – First-person shooter

Black Ops 4 reminds us of why we love the Call of Duty franchise. It feels like a modern COD game with none of the gimmicks that made games of the previous two years more disliked. Zombies is great. Multiplayer is awesome. GIFs of this game are frequently seen on page of 1 of Reddit’s Gaming subreddit and the videos are usually very entertaining and fun.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo Switch – Fighting

Though it was released at the end of 2018, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is far from being old. It’s constantly updated with new fighters, modes, music, levels, and more. It literally has every Super Smash Bros. fighter ever. Unlike previous games, its global online mode is fluid and works well. This game gives you dozens of hours of content, and is great to play and watch. Bonus points to anybody who can beat my Piranha Plant.

Overwatch

Every platform – Multiplayer first-person shooter

From Blizzard Entertainment, a seasoned producer of great multiplayer titles, Overwatch is a consistently popular game. Its huge amount of different characters adds great variation to its objective based multiplayer gameplay, and its futuristic maps, frenetic energy, and WTF moments easily make this perfect to record for YouTube. Add in its last-minute wins and losses, along with teammate commentary from its large and passionate community, and this game becomes even more perfect for this list.

Just Cause 4

Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Action-adventure

If you played Just Cause 3 at all, you know what to expect. Lots of destruction. LOTS OF DESTRUCTION. Very creative vehicles, weapons, and ways to destroy. One of the biggest, prettiest, and diverse open world environments out there. Wing suits and more that let you fly infinitely… the list goes on and on. It’s one of those games that you can play for hours on end, literally doing nothing, and still not get bored of.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Pretty much every platform, except Nintendo – First-person shooter

CS:GO is great because of the level of fast-paced thinking it involves, the huge competition that can emerge between players, how tense and down to the wire games get, and the artistry that can happen when you become skilled at the game. This Counter-Strike is more modern, enhanced, and enjoyable than its predecessors and the community is still, in 2020, very active. This shooter has been a YouTube favorite for many years and is totally worth giving a play and record.

Brawlhalla

Every platform – 2D platform fighting

Brawlhalla is like the Super Smash Bros. games, but with dedicated weapons. It’s the type of game that you can have a ton of fun with, even while losing. The online is great (whereas the online in the SSB games isn’t very good) and the characters are customizable. Really, if you like the SSB franchise, you’ll have a lot of fun and great commentary playing this.

Rocket League

Pretty much every platform, except Nintendo – Sports

Youtube Slots 2020

This game is basically fútbol (or Soccer, if you’re American) played with rocket-powered trucks that fly through the air. It has some very entertaining GIFs on Reddit’s Gaming subreddit, and will leave you shouting at your monitor and entertaining your subscribers. Try the mutators to increase the in-game variety (different gravity, ball sizes, ball speeds, and general physics).

Dark Souls III

Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Action role-playing

Easily one of the best games of all time, Dark Souls 3 will have you screaming in horror, excitement, and laughter. The bosses are huge and wild, the music and scenery is awe-inspiring, and the weapons are eye catching. The game’s great mechanics make this RPG accessible to even noobie gamers and beginner YouTube channels, and the depth of this game’s lore and sheer fun make it perfect for the hardcore. Expect to die a lot and have a great time going down and learning from your mistakes.

Unravel

Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One – Single-player

Beautiful graphics, relaxed, yet accurate physics, and a whimsical concept make Unravel a delight to play and to watch. This release has been super popular with the YouTube gaming community due mainly to its immense creativity, vivid colors, and adorable character. The puzzles at times are hard, but not unbeatable, and the quick thinking that comes with having to throw your yarn at the right time can be quite thrilling. From a viewing standpoint, Unravel is relaxing to watch and to listen to, and from a gaming standpoint, it’s super fun to play.

Firewatch

Pretty much every platform – Adventure

The story-driven adventure game, Firewatch, receives very good numbers on YouTube. Firewatch is said to be, by Markiplier, a YouTube gamer with 24.6mm subscribers, “almost too beautiful.” The game is set in a national park, where your only human communication is with your smart and empathetic boss over a handheld radio. The year is 1989 and your job, as you get lost into a great mystery, is to protect the park from disastrous fires.

GoldenEye 007

Nintendo 64 – First-person shooter

This one’s a joke.

Destiny

PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Google Stadia – Action role-playing, first person shooter

Thrilling gameplay, exciting characters, a breathtaking atmosphere (music and scenery), good expansion packs, a solid leveling up and looting system, and a thriving online community make for Destiny being a great Let’s Play game. If you like science-fiction space games, this is one that you’ll have a lot of fun with.

Dead by Daylight

Every platform – Survival horror

Horror games tend to be great for recording because they elicit a lot of super funny commentary from players who are trying to assuage their fears. Wander through abandoned derelict structures and scary forests while trying to escape a deranged killer. Or play as the killer and kill your victims in brutal ways. I want to emphasize this: this game is brutal. Make sure to play with friends as their narration will make it so much better.

Death Stranding

PS4 – Action-adventure

A lot of gamers have been very disappointed by this game, but it’s nonetheless high in the public eye. Made by the creator of the Metal Gear Solid games, Death Stranding is difficult, slow, and tedious. It’s a lot of walking, a lot of falling, and a lot of small unskippable cutscenes. However, its so frustrating that it gets hilarious… and its beautiful. Its scenescapes are futuristic and far out, and its story is imaginative and touching. Reviewers have said this game is inventing a new genre of gaming. Death Stranding is worth checking out.

Bonus video for Death Stranding:

Undertale

Every platform – Role-playing

Undertale’s silly puns and puzzles, amazing writing and moving storytelling, humor, and overall charming style are what make this RPG work on YouTube. Though the graphics aren’t the nicest, the game is a ridiculous amount of fun to play and has perfect scores from some of the biggest review sites. What does this mean for you? This means that you’ll have good viewer engagement because if the commentator is having fun, the viewer will too.

No Man’s Sky

Microsoft Windows, XBOX One, PS4 – Adventure, sandbox, survival

Originally a disappointment, No Man’s Sky is now a highly respected game. It’s been updated, fixed, and expanded. It’s great for live streaming and the abundance of unique places to explore also makes it great for novel videos. Similar to Minecraft, the game is a procedurally generated open world, except instead of a world, it’s literally a universe that has over 18 quintillion planets, all of which have their own animals, plants, and environments. Fly around the universe exploring, getting into fights, bartering, obtaining valuable resources, and customizing your ship and character.

Minecraft

Pretty much every platform – Adventure, sandbox, survival

Saving the most popular for last. Minecraft helped to define gaming videos on YouTube. It has a rich history of being entertaining to watch and entertaining to play. It’s highly customizable, highly explorable, packed with surprises, faultless for any age, and has a very good online so you can play with friends. It even has VR! It’s pretty much perfect for making gaming videos.

Agame.com

What if you don’t want to play titles that everybody else is playing? Mini games are the perfect solution for giving your channel variety, while keeping it fresh compared to other gaming channels. Agame is a solid place to start because it has a diverse wealth of mini games that are updated frequently. Lots of creativity on this site.

Mousebreaker.com

Mousebreaker is good alternative for fun mini games. It has less variety than Agame, but a lot of good games that Agame doesn’t have. Make sure to mostly pick the 4 and 5 star games.

Games You Frequently See Appearing on Reddit.com/r/gaming

Need even more variety? Check the front page of Reddit’s Gaming subreddit for trending games. These are games that have elements that aren’t only fun to play, but fun to watch. If they weren’t fun to watch, they wouldn’t be on this website. It’s a good place to start if you’re stuck.

Popular Reviews from IGN

Another good place to find ideas for games, if this list isn’t enough for you, is IGN. By looking at popular reviews, you can find a solid list of games that are in demand. While all of these aren’t inherently perfect for gaming videos, they have a trending relevance, which means people will be searching for them and will want to watch them.

Upcoming Games from IGN

Finally, to know what games to play right when they’re released, when they have the most amount of hype, use IGN’s “Upcoming Games.” Play these games right when they come out, and you can be one of the first with a Let’s Play video for a particular hyped up game.

Conclusion

The games on this list are games that are sure to entertain you, while also entertaining your audience. While some of the older games still make for great online content, there are lots of new titles constantly being released that are replacing the old. There’s a huge variety in 2020, and it’s looking like a good time to be a YouTube gamer.

Anything you’d like to see added to this list? Any questions or feedback? Let me know what you think in the comments and if you liked this article, maybe consider sharing it with friends.

Bonus!

Here’s another list that’s pretty good too.

Clocking in at over 196,000 YouTube subscribers, NG Slot is one of the most popular casino video bloggers in the world. To date, NG’s channel has accumulated a staggering 157,000,000+ views as of May 2020. And his most popular video has been viewed over 1,700,000 times.

His success isn’t accidental. NG attracted his audience with a combination of a charismatic personality, high video quality, and a down-to-earth vlogging style. NG Slot isn’t a slouch when it comes to marketing, either. His thumbnails are eye-catching. His video titles grab the viewers’ attention and make them want to watch.

Let’s find out more about this Los Angeles YouTube sensation!

The Making of a YouTube Superstar

NG Slot uploaded his first video on Feb 19, 2017. The video was called Buffalo Grand Slot Machine Live Play Max Bet. In it, the future YouTube sensation tried his luck on the Buffalo Grand slot machine.

It’s easy to see that this was a first attempt. It’s a simple camera recording of a slot machine gaming session, without any of NG’s signature traits. He only plays on one machine. He doesn’t show us around the casino he’s in. And he doesn’t wow us with his energetic personality. In fact, he doesn’t even show his face:

But we all have to start somewhere. The fact that his very first attempt didn’t turn out perfect didn’t discourage him. NG continued to upload consistently. With time, he learned all of the tricks of the vlogging trade and developed his own, unique style. Now, just a few short years later, his videos have been watched over 157 million times and he was awarded YouTube Silver Play Button for surpassing 100,000 subscribers.

I am proud of getting my YouTube Silver Play Button. Thank you to YouTube for giving us an opportunity to be a creator. @ytcreators@TeamYouTubepic.twitter.com/VEralMjBkv

— NG Slot (@NGslot) February 13, 2020

And it doesn’t look like the growth of his channel will stop anytime soon. On an average month, NG’s channel gains over 6,000 new subscribers and around 7,170,000 views.

NG is quite clearly proud of his community. His social media is full of posts praising his fans for their dedication and continued support. And the liking appears to be mutual. It’s no secret that the comment sections of most YouTubers are filled with a lot of negativity. This isn’t the case with NG Slot. If you were to scroll down under one of NG’s videos, you would find nothing but support and encouragement.

NG Slot’s most popular video was uploaded in May 2019. It’s called “Biggest Handpay Jackpot On YOUTUBE HISTORY” and has managed to amass close to 1,500,000 views.

A Recipe For YouTube Success

As we mentioned before, the success of the NG Slot YouTube channel can be attributed to several key factors. The most important one is undoubtedly NG’s undeniable charisma, energy, and love of casino slots. He loves what he’s doing and his excitement is downright infectious. NG’s informal, down-to-earth vlogging style makes his videos a pleasure to watch. It almost feels like you’re going to a casino with a friend. And his good production quality, eye-catching thumbnails, and click-inducing video titles don’t hurt either.

But that’s just part of the story.

NG Slot is a true workaholic. He uploads one or two videos every single day, and he’s been doing that for years. And since his content is centered around casino slots, doing so isn’t cheap either. In January 2020, NG Slot played through over $50,000 USD worth of spins.

On his channel, NG plays a wide variety of casino slot machines, including:

  • Mighty Cash
  • 5 Treasures
  • Dancing Drums
  • Toro Gordo
  • Buffalo Deluxe
  • Dragon’s Law
  • Kronos Unleashed
  • Rise of Ra
  • Black Knight
  • Rising Fortunes
  • 5 Sea Legends
  • Fire Wolf

NG Slot Net Worth & Personal Life

NG Slot prefers to keep his private life private and does not disclose his real name. What we do know is that he resides in Los Angeles, California, and makes frequent trips to neighboring states in search of new slots to play for his YouTube Channel.

NG does not disclose his net worth and yearly income, but we can make an informed guess. Unlike many gambling-related YouTube channels, NG Slot manages to keep his monetization running most of the time. And his advertising doesn’t seem to be stunted in any way, either. We tested this out by watching 5 NG Slots videos one after another. The result? We got ads on 3 of them.

Social Blade rates NG Slot’s as a B+ grade channel and estimates his advertising earnings to be somewhere in the range between $2,000 to $25,000. Knowing that most of his audience is located in the US (a market with high-paying ads), his YouTube earnings could equal $10,000-$15,000 USD on a good month.

As of January 2021, Social Blade estimates NG Slot’s earnings to be from $2k to $30k a month.

As is the case with most gambling YouTubers, most of his income probably comes from affiliate deals with online casinos, as well as donations he receives on his live streams.

NG Slot also runs a Patreon, although he isn’t overly active on the platform. His lowest patron tier starts at $2 a month and the most expensive one clocks in at a cool $1,500 per month.

Another source of income for NG is his online store on Teespring. In it, NG Slots sells T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, sports bags, and phone cases.
